“Aiyayaya, you have slapped me Kidero, you have slapped me?” that’s how then Nairobi Woman Rachel Shebesh reported the slap dished on her by former City Governor Evans Kidero.
During a confrontation outside City Hall in September, 2013, Dr Kidero, was captured on camera slapping Shebesh and she responded by wailing loudly while she inquired if indeed he had slapped her.
She had gone to City Hall to find out why employees were on strike and what the governor was doing about it
Now, Shebesh, presently Public Service Chief Administrative Secretary, has revealed she didn’t just go away wailing. She smiled all the way to the bank.
Speaking on Ghetto Radio, she said Kidero paid her over 30 million shillings to drop the case.
“He paid a lot of money. More than 30 million. I wanted to go strong on Kidero to set a precedent that you can’t just slap a woman and easily get away with it,” she said.
