Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has said the more President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga attack Deputy President William Ruto the popular he becomes.
Speaking on his tour of Mt Kenya region, the governor said Ruto’s popularity was growing, claiming Uhuru and Raila were contributing to that.
“The President and Raila are always taking about William Ruto and he has become popular because of that. We should stop talking about him and tell wananchi what we have for them,” Dr Mutua said.
The governor has re-embarked on popularising his 2022 presidential candidature after stopping for awhile when the government imposed sanctions on political meetings because of rising number of Covid-19 infections.
